The darndest things.
- Grace woke up yesterday and asked where King Tritan was (Daddy - who was at the hospital), and then wanted to go see Flounder (Andy), and would only answer to Ariel - so I asked her who I was and she matter of factly replied, "Your not in this one Mom." When exactly did my baby girl turn into a full blown kid complete with attitude?
- To cap that one off, she told me that she needed another "latty" (Gracespeak for a latte - which for her means steamed milk) because "dat hippo kept me up all night with his really bad cough" and then went on to explain that "dat is ok because I am not pissed." Horrified. We are all on major mouth lockdown. This child starts preschool, at our church mind you, in 8 short months.

Cough due to cold.

Grace and Andy are working their way through matching colds. Hippo, it should be noted, also has a cold. And so does Cinderella. And Belle. And Jasmine. Despite their nasty sounding cough (the shoppers in aisle 7 at the Giant ran for cover), they are happy as ever.

The Twins!

I finally met the dynamic duo! Wylloh and Scarlett are absolutely darling! Everyone talks about how big they have gotten but they looked like tiny little peanuts to me - well, maybe Wylloh is more of a pecan - but they are still so small! We had a wonderful weekend together - Bayley and Grace were in character the ENTIRE weekend - either full princess complete with regalia or full pirate complete with ARRRRRhhhhhhHHHH! Grace and Bayley kicked off our weekend together with a "Jimmy Buffet Parrothead Happy Hour" party for Sweetie's birthday. Let's just say that two toddlers have never had more fun with streamers...Patty and Paul are likely still removing remnants of our fun.
Andy gets a little lost in the mix but he was in seventh heaven exploring new hazards (he can spot a piece of furniture not bolted to a stud at twenty paces) and saying "hi hi hi hi hi hi hi" to his new cousins. He continues to be following in a direct career path to the mayor's office or the greeter position at Wal-Mart!
Scarlett is the small fry - she is all eyes and seems to stay busy scanning her new world. You can't help but want to hide her in your pocket when you walk out the door! Wylloh looks big next to Scarlett but she is really a snuggly little bundle of love. As long as she feel assured that she will get her next meal, she will smile at you until your heart melts and gives just about the best snuggly little baby hugs that you've ever had! Bayley is incredibly gentle and loving towards her new sisters - seems to be completely adjusted to her new reality. The best news for all of the Roberts is that, at a mere 11 weeks, the twins are sleeping through the night!
