Grace has had several intense phases in her short life. For nearly five months, Grace carried around four action figures from Peter Pan absolutely everywhere. When she was just two years old, she was obsessed with Wallace and Grommit. I always thought that one was strange. And she was really into E.T. all summer - or "BT" as she still calls it. . We never thought that the Princess phase would wane. Most kids pick a headliner - Cinderella, stuck-in-the-eighties Aurora...not our girl. Grace attached her Princess dreams to the oft overlooked "Princess Won't Say." Surely you recognize Won't Say from the movie Hercules - her real name is Megara and she sings the (hit) song "I Won't Say I'm in Love." Clearly. And there were others: Elmo, Curious George, the frightening Doodlepops, Willy Wonka... I could go on but there has been one consistent *L*O*V*E* for Grace: her Hippo. Hippo was waiting in her nursery the day we brought Grace home from the hospital (thank you Bettie Olsen!!!!) and he has been there day in and day out ever since. We bought multiple backups - nine in total - but she can spot her guy from a thousand paces, so in the end we merely bought Hippo some friends!
