As it turns out...

Scott and I took a little trip to Miami for an allergy conference. A week in the Miami sun...does it get better? Apparently. Yes, the Fontainebleu was fancy and chic and yes, the Miami sun was bright and wonderfully warm...but I will be quite pleased if I never return to Miami. Too much skin. Too much botox. Too many, ahem, prostitutes getting arrested in the lobby of our fancy hotel. Ten dollar diet cokes get old fast, and so do $20 mojitos. There were bright spots. Scott gave two talks on this whole meat allergy phenomenon, a nice nod for him professionally. I spent a lot of time in the hospitality breakfast suite enjoying the company of fun allergy wives young and old. I even spent a day with these ladies on a yacht cruising around the harbor...

but when it was time to go, our bags were packed.

We were home for 48 hours before we took off for Winston for the last Wake home game. We knew that the games would be fun, but the real treat was watching our young Deacons bond! Kind of helps you not notice so much when your team loses. Big time.
