Roasted!

On Saturday, Scott and I went to the same year-end residency roast and toast picnic that we've attended in the past - only this time, it was Scott's turn to be roasted. It is near impossible for me to believe that Scott is 44 days shy of completing his residency! Funny how the longest three years can seem like the shortest when you look back. Scott's roast was hilarious - he was "noted" for his dedication to his stack of journal articles that he takes everywhere he goes (yet mysteriously is never seen reading) - especially funny to me because I am forever finding these stashes under the couch or behind his pillow or in his sock drawer. He was bid adieu with a box of Benadryl and a tube of cortisone to prepare for the next phase - and a handy clip board for his stash.

Oh - and about the mustache - grown by all graduating residents in honor of their program director Dr. Donowitz. He's the older guy in the center of the picture.

We made it, too! Laura was the first person I met at the welcome picnic when we arrived in Charlottesville.
