Two weeks off! Part Three: Charleston

So we pulled in my mother's driveway just shy of 1am Wednesday morning and pulled back out less than 10 hours later for our drive to Charleston. We expected that the kids would be just as tired as we were and would sleep most of the way. Ha ha ha h aha ha hahhahaha hahaha. Hah. ha. ha ha hahaha. Despite their freakish level of alertness, they were actually quite good and seemed happy enough to be off on another adventure. Charleston was wonderful. We saw our dear Aunt Suzie and some other relatives of Scott's, played downtown, visited with some great friends, and ate entirely too much.

At our favorite restaurant, Fast and French, for lunch.

Grace with her first friend Jacob (on the right) and his little brother Drew. Marydith and I were pregnant together and due within days of each other. Since then, they've had a matching Andrew and another precious baby boy named Preston. So three boys in three years and let me just tell you, they are all three impeccably behaved and flat out adorable.
