ta dahhh!

Renovating Grace's room was a lot like being on Trading Spaces, minus the crew. We moved everything out, painted, constructed, built, painted more, sewed and made two trips each to Target and Lowes and one bonus trip to the fabric store (a first for Scott). I knew that the project had reached that "feed itself" point when Scott found a princess throw rug and declared it "just perfect" at the top of his lungs on aisle 11 in Target. We really did have a great time working on the project together - not only did we get a lot done, but we actually began and completed full conversations.

If you've been Disneyfied, you'll recognize the blue and white dress as Belle's "work clothes." This outfit was part of the surprise - she slept in it last night.

Ceiling in the "boutique" made from an upside down lamp.

Hippo's kitchen is the only remnant from her old room.

And here we have the "it was all worth the effort" moment!

Stella and fella love the loft. They claim that they can see both the moon (Andy) and Cinderella's Castle in Disney World (Grace).

Grace LOVED her new space. It took her two seconds to name the space under her loft as the "Fancy Fancy Boutique."
As a consolation prize, we surprised Andy with a brand new John Glenn space suit. The beauty of a two year old: he thinks he got the better surprise.
