Both Grace and Andy are just super lucky enough to have birthdays that saddle Christmas. I mean, really, who wouldn't want their birthday crammed into the most wonderfully crazy time of the year?! This is why, at least I hope, that I have yet to achieve throwing a "real" birthday party for either child. Lucky for us all, Patty and Paul birthed a full invitation list of children so we make a point to celebrate these occasions with Christmas when we're all together anyway! Invite the cousins and voila...instant party.

Andy and Aunt Ashley rolling strikes.
Our Andy has made a point to thank God for "bowling and space shuttles" before dinner for the past six months...and since sending a dozen family members to the moon was cost prohibitive, we settled on a quick trip to the bowling alley on Christmas eve. We had a great time...and minutes after we toasted the fact that Sir Andrew had lived to see another birthday, he took a tumble with a bowling ball and managed to split his chin wide open. I'm not squeamish really, but frankly, if I can see the fat hanging out of a wound, I'm done. Christmas miracle: Scott stole a tube of dermabond a few weeks ago and threw it in his travel bag. We made a quick departure, apologized for turning lane 33 red and came home so that Andy could be glued shut for the third time in his three years.
Here's hoping that Christmas day goes a little smoother! Happy Birthday lil' Andy! You are pure joy. We hope Santa brings you a helmet.
Twin Wylloh. She preferred knocking the pins down herself with her bare hands.

Grace and I talking to the ball. This is totally and completely normal.
Twin Scarlett who, for the record, can do it HERSELF! Also for the record, the bowling ball outweighed her by 1 pound. She carried it without difficulty.
